Captains knock to start the CL T20 2013

Champion League Qualifier..... Success way to start his new Role by Dhawan. First match of Qualifier for SunRiser Hyderabad Team played in Mohali and Dhawan started his captaincy in a winning moment, he won the toss and elected to field.

Struggle start for Kandurata:

Kandurata team opening batsmen Jayasurya and Tharanga up to the middle. Steyn on the mark and ready to bowl his first delivery in the CL T20 2013. Dale Steyn, coming off a three-month injury lay-off, struggled with his rhythm; he bowled a leg-stump line in the first over and was taken for 15 runs. In the other end Ishanth sharma bowled a brilliant spell and took all important break through of Tharanga in his second over and very next over of sammy Jayasurya also gone to the pavillion. Kandurata were 33-2 in 5 Overs.

Good Partnership from International SL Batsmen:

Then two experienced international Sri Lankan batsmen Sankagara & Thirumanne joined together for 3rd wicket and started their innings very slow, soft and rotate their strike. Once they settled, they started smashing SRH bowlers heavily. All the SRH bowlers suffered and they can't able to taggle it. Dhawan field placement, rotation of bowlers prove that he need to learn more as a captain. Finally, Dhawan through the ball to Amit mishra to bowl 15th over of the innings and he bowled only that over in whole innings. First time of T20 career, he bowled a single over at the entire innings. Both batsmen put more pressure to dhawan and scored 89 runs together and Dhawan give the ball to Ishant to bowl 16th over. He desperately need a wicket and Ishanth done his job perfectly and took the wicket of Thirumanne. At the end of 20 Overs, Kandurata team scored 168 runs lose of 3 wickets.

Great reply by SRH Opener:

It seems to be very close match, New captain of SRH Dhawan lot of things went wrong in his captaincy, field set up, bowlers rotation. But he answered all these questions with his bat. Parthiv and Dhawan played very aggressively at the start of the innings. Thirumane introduced dangerous Ajantha mendis in the last over of the field restriction, but Dhawan smashed three consecutive boundaries in this over. And SRH scored 58 without loss any wicket in the powerplay overs. Still they continue to score runs quickly and reaches the century partnership at 11th over of the innings. Very next over, both Dhawan and Patel reaches their half century back to back. Finally, Off spinner Jayasuirya break the brilliant partnership of 121 runs and picked the patel's wicket. And Mendis picked dangerous Dhawan's wicket in the very first ball of 17th over. SRH were 136/2 in 16.1 Overs, they need another 33 runs in 23 balls, Perara comes into the middle to join Duminy. Perara hits Massive six for the very first ball he scored. He played a fearless knock and small cameo at the end of the innings, he smashes a massive six to win the match. He scored 32 runs in just 11 deliveries at the strike rate of 290.9 per 100 balls. SRH won the match by 8 wickets and get the two valuable points in the qualifier table. Now New Zealand's Otago & India's Sun Risers are at 2 points each.
